We meet every single Tuesday of a year, except one during Christmas.

Timings
  • 6:15 PM – Doors Open
  • 7:00 PM – Tournament Registration Starts
  • 7:30 PM – Tournament Round Begins

Tournament Info

Online Registration
  • Interac etransfer to: kwchessinfo@gmail.com.
  • Put password as: “kwchess”.
  • Make sure to mention your Name, Tournament, and your CFC id.
In Person Registration
  • Drop in on the day, as per aforementioned timings.
  • Jot down your name and CFC number on the registration Paper (At the desk).
  • Once paid in cash, make sure it is marked besides your name.

For free tournaments just register in-person

Classical Time Controls: Game in 50 min. plus 20 sec. delay.

Rapid Time Controls: Game in 25 min. plus 10 sec. delay.

Blitz Time Controls: Game in 5 min. plus 2 sec. delay.

Note:Usual Tuesday scheduled Classical and Rapid Tournaments are 15 CAD per tournament. They are also CFC rated and hence require CFC membership. KW Chess Club membership is not Mandatory. Blitz tournaments need no CFC membership. These are NOT CFC rated and free for all.

Swiss Style Tournament: Players play Swiss Style Tournament in which players play each round. There is no “knock-out”. The Swiss system pyramids to determine a winner but matches players of similar scores and strength.
