Intro & History: This annual event has been popular with clubs and groups from Toronto to Windsor, Hamilton, Sudbury. Teams have been made up of players with a wide range of chess experience. Rounds: 5
Start Times: 10:30 a.m., Lunch, 1:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 4:00 p.m., 5:30 p.m.
Type: Active (Quick) Swiss with teams of 4 players from same club, company, or region. Pairing will be by team scores. Board positions are determined by ratings of the team players.
Time Control: Game in 25 minutes plus 10 seconds added per move (Bronstein)
Entry Fee: $40 for team of four. CFC membership required for each player, can be paid on site; Adult $48, Junior $30, One-time tournament $20
Payment: Cash only at site. There is an ATM on site.
Prizes: Team prize determined by matches won, lost, and drawn. $$Based on entries, trophies and cash.
